How to Obtain a Burn Permit -
Contact Station 71 or the on-dutry crew (Phone #720-392-5009) for your controlled burn permit. Burns permits are at the discretion of the Chief, and are subject to change day-to-day.
The District determines burn bans for the entire Byers area based on the highest burn ban between Arapahoe and Adams Counties. Please be advised we are currently under no burn ban - please see below for the posting.

Guidelines for control burns -
You must attend (be with your fire), with a water source next to the fire at all times.
What we will want to know -
(1) Your Address and who you are
(2) A call-back number
(3) What you are burning and what you are burning in
(4) How long you will be burning for
Your burn permit must be approved prior to beginning your burn. Burn permits will be granted between 7 AM - 9 PM.

BFPD has been closely monitoring the developments of the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and watching the advisories and directions of the CDC and public health officials in Colorado. Byers Fire has re-opened Station 71 and our administration office to the public. The administration office will resume normal hours of Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9AM to 1PM.
Our station has reopened to the public, but we ask for crew and staff safety, that you please stay home if exposed to COVID19 or are ill - unless seeking emergency services. While at Station 71 or interacting with crew or staff, please wear a facial covering.
Remember, our emergency personnel remains on duty and ready to assist during an emergency. In the case of an emergency, please call 911. If you need assistance from a member of our administrative personnel - please contact our office and leave a message (303-475-6505). Our website www.byersfire.org has contact information for our staff and resources for a variety of topics and needs.
We will do our best to respond to communications from our citizens as soon as we can, but please be aware that there may be some delays. Thank you for your patience.
